Wilfred Muma, a judge on the HIGH Court, is currently being held in police custody after he allegedly offered land from the Zambian Army to the Patriotic Front (PF).
A title for land in Woodlands that belonging to the Zambia Army is reported to have expired, been later annulled, and offered to the PF by Justice Muma, Chongwe’s State Lodge.
Judge Muma allegedly did this while serving as the commissioner of lands, according to Zambia Police deputy public relations officer Danny Mwale.
Judge Muma is alleged to have expired and cancelled the title for property in Woodlands area belonging to the Zambia Army and later offered it to the Patriotic Front – Registered Trustees, a body corporate registered under the perpetual succession Act chapter 186 of the laws of Zambia. An Act which was arbitrary and prejudicial to the rights and interest of the Government of the Republic of Zambia,” Mr Mwale said.
Mr Mwale said Judge Muma has been released on police bond pending court appearance.
