According to Provincial Education Officer NAWA MULAMBWA, Northern Province aims to increase the student pass rate from the existing 47 to 60 percent.
According to Mr. MULAMBWA, the Province has performed abysmally, but instructors and students need to be inspired to raise student achievement.
According to Mr. MULAMBWA in an interview with ZNBC, his administration will choose students for a number of strategic schools this week at a stakeholders conference in MBALA to ensure successful learning.
According to him, the Grades 7 and 9 results, which Minister of Education Douglous Siakalima just presented, showed an average performance for the Province.
Teachers in the Province have been urged by Mr. MULAMBWA to make sure that the Province reaches the 60 percent goal.
