After reportedly abusing his 40-year-old biological sister, a 26-year-old Chingola man is on the run.
It’s thought that Mwima Ngambi took advantage of his sister’s inebriated state.
It was claimed that after enjoying some locally brewed beer, Chibuku, in the early hours of the morning, he went into her room where she was asleep.
Peacewell Mweemba, the commanding officer of Copperbelt Province, reported that police had since received a report of incest.
He claimed that the victim had reported that her little brother, a bricklayer, had violated her.
“Brief facts are that the victim stays with her two brothers and a sister. So on Friday, March 10th, this year at around 10:00 hours, the three siblings left home and went out while she remained home alone drinking Chibuku. When she got drank, she went into her room and slept. While sleeping, her young brother came back from where he had gone and went into her room and found her sleeping, and took advantage of her drunken state and raped her. She shouted for help, but he covered her month, and no one came to her rescue and later ran away,” she said.
Mr Mweemba said the victim narrated the story to the other family members who were not home, and they advised her to report the matter to the Police.
“A medical report form was issued. Scene of crime was visited and processed. Docket opened, and an effort was made to apprehend the suspect, but he was not found home as he had fled to an unknown place.
However, investigations have been instituted,” he said.
