League Fixture To Be Rescheduled By FAZ

In order to make room for the Congolese team Saint Eloi Lupopo, which will utilize the Levy Mwanawasa stadium for its CAF Confederation Cup matches, the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) will postpone all league games scheduled to be played there.

The Levy Mwanawasa stadium will be used by the Lupopo football club to host its international matches, according to FAZ – General Secretary ADRIAN KASHALA.

According to KASHALA, the current strategy is to schedule all games for Ndola powerhouses Zesco United and Buildcon Football Clubs—who share the stadium—on alternate days in order to prevent collisions.

In an interview with ZNBC Sports News, KASHALA claims that the country benefits from a foreign club using the Levy Mwanawasa stadium.

He claims that while hosting a club is expensive, the presence of Lupopo will bring in much-needed awareness and money for the nation.

The impacted local clubs have since been urged by KASHALA to maintain their composure while the problem with the location for the fixtures is resolved.
