The project’s completion, according to Energy Minister Peter Kapala, would assist to lower diesel prices and prevent damage to the nation’s roadways.

Since then, Mr. KAPALA has requested that oil marketing businesses begin transporting their low-sulfur diesel through the pipeline.

At the official opening of the diesel valve at TAZAMA Pipeline Limited in Ndola, he said this.

Moreover, Copperbelt Provincial Minister ELISHA MATAMBO stated that less expensive diesel will stimulate the economy.

Meanwhile, TAZAMA Pipeline Limited’s managing director, DAVISON THAWETHE, announced that the corporation had resumed operations after a three-year hiatus.

The conversion of the pipeline so that it can begin flowing diesel instead of crude oil, according to Mr. THAWETHE, was a wise move on the part of the energy ministry.
