Queen Skolopad announces her retirement

Controversial entertainer Queen Skolopad, also known as Nonhlanhla Qwabe, has announced her retirement from the entertainment industry. The 40-year-old musician, hailing from Qwaqwa in the Free State, expressed her desire to focus on being a mother and dedicating more time to her family.

Queen Skolopad recently welcomed her second baby, whom she named after herself, and this life-changing event has prompted her decision to step away from her persona as Skolopad.

“I’ve reached an age where I can no longer sustain the lifestyle of Skolopad. Turning 40 this year has made me realize that I’ve been neglecting my family. Attending shows and then going to work exhausted the next day is not conducive to caring for my patients,” Queen Skolopad expressed.

She embraces the notion that life truly begins at 40 and expresses her newfound appreciation for herself and her life. Her primary focus now is to dedicate her attention to her newborn baby boy and his father. Queen Skolopad aspires to be a devoted family woman, prioritizing the care and upbringing of her child.

“I will be raising my baby boy, a pure soul who requires my undivided attention. Farewell to the stage persona, unless I’m enjoying some leisure time on the beach or swimming,” she added.
