Trevor Noah recently clarified the R33 Million Ad fee while on The Clement Manyathela Show, 702 radio station. The comedian talked about SA need for tourism, however, he made it clear that he was not approached by the tourism department to promote the country

Coming out of Covid, South Africa had the lowest rebound rate of any nation in the world that needs tourism as a big part of its GDP. We cannot afford to not have tourists in this country,” he added. Trevor further reacted to how South Africans talked about the fee that was allegedly paid him for the promo.
