Two children, 5 and 13, were allegedly molested in separate incidences

According to reports, two children, 5 and 13, were allegedly molested in separate incidences in Kitwe.

TWO children, ages 5 and 13, are accused of being violated in separate incidences in the Kitwe neighborhoods of Kawama and Chipata.

In the first incident, an unidentified perpetrator defiled a 5-year-old girl from Kawama after breaking into their home by removing three mud bricks.

On Monday between 00:00 and 01:50, the residence was broken into.

The suspected offender went to the room where the juvenile was sleeping and he brought her to an unknown spot where she was defiled.

According to Copperbelt Province Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba, a neighbor heard commotion outside and went to investigate.

According to Mr. Mweemba, the young girl was spotted approaching from the opposite direction and told her neighbor what had happened.

“We received a report that a five year old girl was defiled by an unknown person.The victim sustained painful private parts and the child was admitted to Kitwe Teaching Hospital but she has been referred to Ndola for specialized medication, her condition not too well. The suspect has not been arrested,”he said.

In the second incident, a 17-year-old guy violated a 13-year-old girl.

He claimed that the incident occurred yesterday at at 9:00 p.m.

According to Mr. Mweemba, the mother of the victim discovered the suspect having sex with her daughter in a back yard.

According to him, the culprit fled as the victim’s mother entered the room and was caught after the incident was reported to the police.

“Brief facts of the matter are that the victim, who is a neighbor to the suspect, was found by the mother at around 1900 hrs being defiled by the suspect behind her house. The suspect ran away upon noticing the presence of the victim’s mother. The matter was reported and investigations were instituted leading to his apprehension,”he said.
