Lice rock Uzalo actor’s private parts

Sama Jobe, everybody agreed, had a great future ahead of him as an actor. But then he walked away from the craft. He didn’t want to tell people his shameful secret.
SAMA GAVE IT ALL UP BECAUSE OF A CURSE THAT LEFT HIM WITH LICE AROUND HIS 4-5!
Sama Jobe, who is now 27, was an extra on Uzalo but every time he appeared on TV, he got lice all over his body.
When he eventually stopped acting, the problem stopped.
“My problem started in 2014. I was 19 years old at the time,” he said.
“One morning, I woke up with lice in my private parts.
“I knew it was serious, but I didn’t tell anyone.”
He said he was scared that no one would believe him.
“I’d heard bad stories that lice in the private parts meant that you have bad s.e.xual habits.
“But I wasn’t sleeping around and I didn’t say anything, because I didn’t want my family to think I was s.e.xually active.”
He said he spent most of his time indoors.
“I’d lock the door and start killing the lice, but that didn’t help. Instead, they multiplied,” he said.
“Soon I developed pimples and they were itchy.
“When I scratched them, lice would come out.
“Eventually, I told my uncle and he gave me a strong muthi to use and I was healed.”
For four years, he did alright until he landed a role as an extra on Uzalo.
“This was in 2018. Everything was fine while I appeared on TV occasionally, but then I started making money out of it, and my acting career was taking off,” he said.
“Then one day, I woke up full of lice around my 4-5”.
He said he knew his childhood curse had returned.
“I told my agent that I needed to sort myself out and took some time off to try and get rid of the lice.
“When I was done, I informed them that I’m ready to go back to work,” he said.
But then, after only a few scenes, the lice were back.
“As soon as I appeared on TV, the curse was back again.
“This happened three times and it was getting worse.
“I decided to quit acting and concentrate on my studies at the Durban University of Technology in KZN.
“I was a radio DJ on one of the local community radio stations,” he said.
Sama said he has managed to get help from a sangoma and he would love to go back to acting.
“But I know I’ll have to be stronger than before.
“So at the moment, I’m focusing on my other projects but I can’t reveal them for now,” he said.
Inyanga Bheki Biyela said: “This is normal in work environments.
“But in this case, it seems someone was just jealous of his jobs. It might not necessarily be at his workplace.
“With a proper diagnosis, he can be cured.”
Nomfundo Zondi said Uzalo was on a production break so they couldn’t comment at the moment.
