Yango Drivers Awarded

In honor of International Taxi Driver Day, Yango has honored and given presents to a total of 250 of the best-rated drivers, including gasoline cards.

While the remaining participants will receive ZMW 400 apiece as the awards program runs until the end of the week, the first top 20 recipients each received fuel cards worth ZMW 1,000. These partner drivers were chosen exclusively based on user ratings out of five, which is a feature of the app. 94% of the trips last year had a rating of 5 out of 10.

It’s important to note that passengers who gave the partner drivers ratings highlighted important qualities like smooth driving, spotless surroundings, and fantastic music. Yango Country Manager Ms. Kabanda Chewe commended drivers for their steadfast support during the event held at the Hub office in Lusaka.

“We appreciate the contribution drivers in Lusaka, Kitwe and Ndola are making in the industry and we wish to encourage them to continue offering a top-notch service that meets the customers’ needs and maintain their ratings”.

In order to assure customer pleasure and higher ratings, Yango partner driver Mr. Joseph Silavwe expressed gratitude for the gesture and advised additional drivers to follow the company’s guidelines for proper driving behavior. On March 29, 2022, Zambia launched Yango, a worldwide informative service for booking rides online.

Now, it runs successfully in Lusaka, Ndola, and Kitwe, assisting in the creation of a digital platform for regional partners to offer daily transportation at a low cost to thousands of customers. Since 2011, Yango has run mobility and delivery businesses in over 20 nations in Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
