The Lusaka International Arbitration Centre, which will mediate in business disputes, was established by the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

The Arbitration Centre, according to LAZ President LUNGISANI ZULU, will assist free up space in the legal system’s courts and expedite the resolution of business disputes.

At a signing ceremony in Lusaka, Mr. ZULU stated that both individuals and businesses can bring their problems to the Centre for mediation.

He claimed that by creating the Arbitration Center, the courts of law will be able to focus on criminal cases.

Additionally, the Lusaka International Arbitration Centre’s verdicts are enforceable, according to JAMES BANDA, president of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration.
