ZAF Partner For Rural Health With Flying Doctors

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Zambia Flying Doctor Service and the Zambia Air Force aims to give the service access to ZAF aircraft so it may travel to farther-flung locations.

The relationship with ZAF, according to ROSEMARY KUMWENDA, Chairperson of the Zambia Flying Doctor Service Board, will assist the organization in delivering medical care to remote areas.

Speaking after the MoU was signed at ZAF Headquarters in Lusaka, Dr. KUMWENDA noted that the agreement calls for ZAF to supply aircraft, pilots, and maintenance people.

ZAF Commander COLIN BARRY also gave the service the assurance that the air force would supply the appropriate aircraft, crew, and equipment required for medical missions.

General BARRY stated that everyone in Zambia, even those living in distant locations, has a right to health in a speech that was read on his behalf by ZAF Chief of Training KAMIMA NYIRENDA.
