Chipolopolo U20 Cheers Win Over South Sudan

The three-nil victory over South Sudan yesterday night, according to coach CHISI MBEWE of the Zambian Men’s Under-20 Football team, has re-energized the team ahead of the 2023 AFCON tournament, which begins next week.

MBEWE claims that although the team’s defeats against Senegal and Nigeria had a bad impact on them, their victory over South Sudan has helped them recover.

He claims that the victory is significant because it has given the competitors the necessary confidence going into the competition that begins on Sunday, February 19, 2023.

RICKSON NG’AMBI, JULIUS KUMWENDA, and KINGSTON MUTANDWA scored goals in the second half to help the Junior Chipolopolo achieve their first victory in three played international friendlies last night when the U-20 boys practiced against South Sudan.

And in response to the victory, MBEWE claims that the players performed admirably, particularly in the second half.

The adjustments made in the second half, according to MBEWE, gave the squad solidity despite the goals arriving late, but he adds that there is still potential for growth.
