ICT Is Essential To Judiciary’s Service Delivery – MALILA

Chief Justice MUMBA MALILA says Information Communication Technology -ICT- is the sure way to improve service delivery in the Judiciary.

Speaking in Livingstone ahead of the 2022 Judicial Conference which will be officially opened today by President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA this morning, Dr. MALILA said the Judiciary is holding the Conference in a quest to review its operations.

He observed that the Judicial Conference is critical as it is a platform where issues affecting the Judiciary are tackled in a bid to enhance professionalism and accountability among legal practitioners.

The Judicial Conference is an annual event whose objective is to reflect on matters affecting the Judiciary.

Information and communication technology, or ICT, is the surefire approach to enhance judicial service delivery, according to Chief Justice MUMBA MALILA.

Dr. MALILA said the 2022 Judicial Conference is being held in Livingstone in order for the Judiciary to assess its activities before it is formally launched by President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA this morning.

In order to improve professionalism and accountability among legal professionals, he noted that the Judicial Conference is important as a forum for discussing issues impacting the judiciary.

The Judicial Conference is a yearly gathering with the goal of reflecting on issues impacting the judiciary.
