Police in Lusaka are looking into a case in which Tonderai Luwisi, 44, of Jesmondine, is accused of killing his wife Pellegia Muligwi, 38, under mysterious circumstances.
The couple’s 17-year-old son reported the event to the police.

When the son got home, according to Mr. Mwale, he saw the father leaving the yard in a car and, as he was ready to go inside, realized the door was locked.
“He entered through the window only to find his mother lying on the floor in a pool of blood.
Police rushed the victim to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. The body is in UTH mortuary awaiting postmortem,” he said.
The suspect, who is thought to have fled, was later involved in a traffic accident on Thabo Mbeki Road close to Price Waterhouse Coopers premises, according to Mr. Mwale.
“He was involved in an accident between 19:00 hours and 20:00 hours,” he said.
Officers were notified and raced to the site where they discovered him, according to Mr. Mwale. He was then transported to UTH where he is presently being treated.
