Police will receive 1,000 vehicles

In order to improve operations, the government is anticipated to buy 1,000 vehicles for the police, according to Inspector General of Police LEMMY KAJOBA.

According to Mr. KAJOBA, the constituency development fund would be used to purchase more vehicles throughout all constituencies, improving police transit.

When the Police Chief paid Eastern Province Minister PETER PHIRI a polite visit, he was already speaking.

Transport is a problem for the service, according to Mr. KAJOBA, who is touring the province to get acquainted.

His familiarization tour will also include Katete, where villagers in Chieftainess Kawaza’s neighborhood attacked police officers there about two weeks ago.

And Mr. PHIRI praised the police for their professional conduct.
